We had a family lunch here on a recent trip to Marble Falls. When my parents, the BF, and I eat out together it's always a little dicey because we all have such different palettes. My mom doesn't like spicy food, I like spicy food, the BF LOVES spicy food, and my dad is somewhere in between. Still, we all like Thai food so we decided to give this place a shot and I'm glad we did. It's a real gem for a small town like Marble Falls to have. We were greeted at the door by the older man who works there, and when I say "greeted at the door" I mean he opened the door while we were walking up to it, still several feet away, and welcomed us in. We were seated immediately and they took our drink orders promptly. The lunch menu is a little limited, but what it lacks in quantity of items it makes up for in quality. They have the usual Thai staples like Pad Thai as well as other dishes and a curry of the day at the bottom of the menu. My mom and I both ordered the Massaman curry, Dad ordered the Panang curry (even though it wasn't the curry of the day, they were happy to oblige), and the BF got the Pad Kee Mao, extra spicy. The appetizer bar comes with entrees, and they had a selection of soup (miso and sweet and sour), sushi (crab rolls and California rolls), egg rolls, salad, rice pudding, and watermelon. I had an egg roll, two pieces of California roll, and some salad with ginger dressing. It was all very good and tasted fresh. One Yelper had mentioned cream cheese in the egg rolls, but the egg roll I had was straight up veggie, so maybe they changed that? Our entrees came out a short time later and we were all very pleased. My mom and I enjoyed the Massaman curry immensely, though there was something funky going on with the carrots in it. They had a pithy, woody center that was most disconcerting, but we just ate around them and otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the dish. It was sweet, a little spicy, and very flavorful. Dad liked his Panang curry a lot as well. I had a bite of it and it was spicier and more savory than the Massaman curry but still very flavorful. The BF thoroughly enjoyed his Pad Kee Mao but lamented that it was not spicy enough for him. We've encountered this problem at other restaurants where people are concerned that this pale Irish lad cannot possibly mean that he wants the food as hot as they serve it in Thailand/India/Ethiopia/etc., but he really does mean it. If he's not sweating by the end of the meal, he's not completely satisfied. Still, it was good food. Once we were done eating, my mom got up to use the facilities and when she came back to the table she was holding a small cup of rice pudding. Apparently one of the ladies that works there had insisted that she try some when she walked by the appetizer bar. It was not her cup of tea because it wasn't sweet enough, but I thought it was pretty good, and it was PURPLE to boot. I suspect they might have put some taro in it, but I didn't have the presence of mind to ask. Altogether, we had a very enjoyable lunch here and would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in the Marble Falls area. The food was tasty, very reasonably priced, and the service was fantastic.

YES, Marble Falls has THAI OH MY. My fam lives in this area so I have tried every place from kingdom come that direction! I really enjoy a couple of sushi rolls, love their pad thai & cheese egg roll thingies! Their portions are smallish, but fills me up well. It is a bit on the pricey side so I reserve this one for special treats. The service is always great & it feels very intimate as the restaurant is super tiny! Hope this one sticks around, such a nice change for that area to expand their culinary side!
(4)Shelly H.
Looove this place! Excellent Thai food, great customer service, been enjoying this gem for 2 years and it has never let is down. Edward Scissorhands is the sous chef!
(5)Deb M.
Great sushi, Thai food is shaky but I think it is adjusted to farang's taste. Lap is good. Desserts are wonderful. Beer choices are great. Plum wine anyone? Give them a chance, you could do much worse elsewhere.
(4)Danzi H.
Don't know what these other Yelpin reviewer folks are smokin, but this is good food! We have had plenty of good Thai in big cities and this stuff was on par with them all. Excellent food! I even went with my Asian friend and she agreed it was top notch! We liked: chicken pad thai, larb, chicken glass noodle soup. We weren't too happy with the satay (definitely had better). If you want good Thai food, this is the place to go. The staff were very friendly, too.

While me miss the old Cafe 909 we're glad Ginger & Spice was the replacement. We are regulars and they have good and average nights but never bad. The service is good but strange in that waiters don't seem to have assigned tables. All of them drift by to duplicate efforts. It's a little annoying after awhile. The food ranges from average to really good. Same for the sushi. If the restaurant was in Austin you'd be forced to give it 3 stars due to the inconsistency but given that Marble Falls has limited selections we have to give it two thumbs up.
(4)Joe L.
We ate here first night in MF. Kids had edamame and chicken rice, i had sushi. I am very happy. Sushi was delicious. Kids were happy. wife happy. I over-ate. Large sake...sleep. They take credit cards!! A RARETY in this little town for some reason.
(4)Mel W.
Great service! Pretty good sushi and Thia food. The basil fried rice and seafood basil are favorites. If you don't feel like going to Austin for any kind of Asian or Thia food, go here! The other Asian food in town is not very good at all.
(4)Jana K.
We moved to the Marble Falls area a couple of months ago and Ginger & Spice has become our go-to restaurant. We enjoy both the sushi and Thai food. The service is great as well. The basil fried rice is excellent!
(4)Jean K.
It's a hidden treasure in Marble Falls. Better Thai food than in Austin. The green curry is delicious and sticky rice with mango is extra creamy. Yumm!!
(4)Lety B.
The server was friendly and accommodating to our special food needs. Members of our party had the spicy flat noodle dishes and the basil stir fried rice with pork. The portions were generous. The dishes were spicy but not overpowering. We were able to take our time and enjoy the food.

i can't believe the one negative review. we went this weekend for lunch, and the food was INCREDIBLE. i live in austin and love thai. most of the thai in austin is not that fresh and somewhat formulaic IMO...unless you catch the chef at his/her home restaurant on a good night. everything that came out of the kitchen rocked. it was so much better than anything i have had in austin. we had the pad thai, fried tofu, and a sea bass in a garlicky thom ka-style broth. everything was superb but that fish -- wow! great prices on wine, too. the chef came out with balloons for the kids in the restaurant. everyone was super friendly. i will definitely go back.
(5)Suzanne L.
We had reservations, but still had to wait about 45 minutes for our table. Staff was fun and courteous. Went with some friends who love sushi, but since it's not my thing, I ordered the salmon. It was a huge serving, but totally tasteless, even after smothering it with soy sauce.
(2)terry w.
among the worst thai food i've ever eaten but their service was very attentive (this is should've been a warning to us that their food was going to be a disaster. everybody knows the good asian places are always supposed to have crappy service). they have about 7-8 different items on their lunch menu for about $7-$8 each and your meal includes their salad/soup bar. i got the green curry, which wasn't terrible, but it was spicy for no reason and not very savory. my wife (she's thai/cambodian) got the pad thai. the noodles in the pad thai were soggy and oversauced. she couldn't even eat her entree because it was ridiculously sour and spicy. the soups were severely watered-down. the eggrolls were filled with cream cheese (not sure where they have that in thailand). the best thing about the meal was the salad bar, which really didn't resemble anything thai at all. i'd go back just to visit the nice family though.

YES YES YES. We were in Marble Falls and had planned to do the 'infamous pie place' but when detoured and had lunch here instead. Best. Peanut Chicken. EVAH. Perfect. Wafer thin tender chicken slices... Steamed vegetables that were JUST the right amount of crisp. (Not hard. Not soggy!) Flavorful and absolutely delicious. In fact, the server came over to 'check on us' and I sheepishly glanced down at my empty plate. We both laughed as I said, "yes.. it was very good." Hubby had combination fried rice which was also very good. They have a sushi and soup bar that was included in our meals but we didn't really take part in. (honestly, our portions were more than adequate.) I did see they had small tapioca servings there though (which I love after peanut chicken) so it was nice to have just a little treat to cleanse the palette without having to order a full dessert. Honestly - this was my favorite meal while we were in Marble Falls. We'll be back in the area next month and I will be skipping the Pie Place AGAIN because I would much rather have lunch here instead. Very casual. Come in. Relax. Enjoy.
(5)Hailey G.
I came here awhile back with 2 of my cousins, my boyfriend and a friend for lunch. We weren't expecting much. It's small town sushi after all.. But to my surprise, it wasn't that bad! They have a little sushi buffet/bar thing with some pretty basic (but very good) rolls on it. Their list of lunch rolls is good. I honestly cannot remember what any of us had but I do remember that we all liked our food! The next time I find myself in Marble Falls I will absolutely give this place another try. Sushi in DFW is pretty comparable I must say!
(4)Gabby H.
Every time it never fails! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is super clean, which makes it that much better!
(5)Curtis D.
We had the spring rolls that where really good, the sea weed salad my wife enjoyed, the 7 piece sushi plate and the pad kee mao which was good. We enjoyed the dinner and the service was right on the mark. Great dinner
(4)Jeffrey F.
Great restaurant located in Marble Falls, a beautiful, scenic town. Super friendly staff. Think you can't get great sushi outside of Austin? Think again.
(4)Nicole A.
Best green curry outside of Bangkok. Owned/run by Thais. Don't be afraid to go Thai spicy; perfect level of heat. Destination eating in MF. Love this place!!!
(5)marc s.
Marble falls is not the place to go out for dinner.
(2)Ron L.
My future father-in-law lives in Marble Falls and he discovered this place after C and I got him hooked on Sushi. We've been 3-4 times since then and every time we love the place. Nice little sushi joint tucked on the back side of downtown. Quiet and never crowded, but always has a good amount of folks in it. The sushi is really good. Every roll I've eaten - including the "Princess Roll" (shut up! it's great!) has been phenomenal. The only ding I can give it is no happy hour prices. That's their choice, but I'd love to see that someday.

I could not wait to try this place. I love Thai food. LOVE it!!! So as it was listed as the Marble Falls top rated restaurant on Yelp- no way could I not go. So I did- and took my mom and dad. Did it live up? Yes & no. Ambiance- Nice enough- small and quaint- cool part of town. Inviting atmosphere and clean bathrooms. As we were at the top of the dinner crowd we got to pick our own seat- awesome- love it when they say that ^,~ Food- Ok. So I'm a curry freak. Love. Me. Some. Curry. Especially yellow- my favorite! But I wanted to be able to try more than one- so since the waiter suggested that the panang curry was sweet (which I like) - my dad and I decided he'd order the yellow and I'd order the panang (with brown rice). Mom ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice. We also had a few appetizers. Here's the verdict. Edamame- pretty standard but I like that it was a lil on the saltier side. "Cheese Rolls"- not like the wontons you're used to- but rolled up like an egg roll or spring roll would be. These are pretty tasty folks!!! Thom Yum Soup- very flavorful! Liked it!!!! Pineapple fried rice (with chicken) - big portion- very good!! Panang Curry- I found this to be totally FLAVORLESS! In fact I sent it back and asked for the yellow instead. Because I took one taste of my dad's and..... Yellow Curry- AAAAHHHHMMMAAAAZZZIINNNGGG!!!!! So so so so so good! One of the best I've had- and that's saying something. Get. This. Stuff. Thai Tea- not the best I've had but still tasty! Service- Here's where the "No" kinda started. Not that they sucked. But an older gentlemen was our waiter. I'm not saying he was rude- but he was sooooo dry- Not a smile- even once- totally uninterested in us - seemingly uncaring- not very helpful when I asked for suggestions or inquired about certain items. And certainly was not happy when I wanted to exchange my curry. He wasn't a jerk- but I don't think he realized how much power he has to affect a dining experience. However- the younger staff were MUCH more friendly and made sure we were taken care of which I appreciated. Ultimately- if I come back to Marble Falls - I'll be back for the YELLOW CURRY!!!
(4)J J.
Not authentic Thai food. It seems that it's the only Thai place in the small hill country town. Since they don't have any competition, they mix something and call it thai. It was ok, not bad tasting. Service was not Texas friendly but maybe there were having a bad day. It's only an one time visit, if even that.
(3)Jeremy G.
This place is amazing (especially for marble falls!). I love the pad see ew which you have to ask for and is not on the menu.
(5)Leslie B.
This place is a hidden gem in Marble Falls. We decided to try it and the Thai food was delicious. The red curry dish is a must!
(5)Jul J.
Wow never been served so rudely, the food was good but the hostility from bartender/waiter and other waitress was flat out terrible... I guess rascism is still prevalent in small towns like this.
(1)Tiffany R.
Delicious red curry! It had the perfect amount of spice, too. I was just in town for lunch and found this place. The curry of the day (Wednesday) is red curry and I loved it! My coworker had Pad Thai and greatly enjoyed it.

I travel a lot for work and generally rely on Yelp to point me to the good local spots. This afternoon's lunch (at Tea Thyme) was amazing. But for this place, Yelpers, you have let me down in a big way. Came in around 9 for late dinner with a colleague, there were maybe 8 or 9 other tables. I got edamame and a spicy tuna roll; he got a Thai basil noodle dish. Edamame was OK. I like it on the saltier side, but it was really unevenly distributed, like they just shook it on the top rather than in a bowl first - several pods were salt-free, others made my face pucker up Renee Zellwegger style. Colleague's noodle dish came first and I told him to start rather than waiting for me. Glad that he did. About halfway through his meal, I flagged down a waiter (not ours, whom I hadn't seen on the floor since he took our order) and said I was still waiting on a spicy tuna roll. "Let me check on that for you," he said. Five minutes later: "He's making it for you right now." Translation: they forgot to put in the order. Ten minutes later: Colleague is done with his meal, waiters are actively avoiding our table. I finally see our waiter and ask about the roll. "It's coming right up." All things considered, a spicy tuna roll is not super complex. Knowing it'll probably be another few minutes, I ask for it in a to-go box, and they oblige. Another ten minutes, and they come to pick up the check they've dropped. Got back to my hotel around 10:30 to find that it's not, in fact, a spicy tuna roll. Generally, spicy tuna implies tuna mixed with spicy mayo. Not chopped tuna rolled VERY loosely (read; fall-apart loosely) with cucumber, served with spicy mayo on the side. Thing is, the plate presentation on a lot of the other dishes at the restaurant looked pretty good, the ambience was nice, and everyone else on Yelp seems to love this place. So maybe -- I'm hoping -- my case was the anomaly. Regardless, it was the worst dining experience I've had in a very long time.
(1)Melissa H.
The service was below mediocre - waiter was not friendly. It did not seem like he wanted to be there. The food took 30-40 minutes to come out. We started out with a spicy tuna roll. The rice was undercooked and hard. The rolls were not tight enough. For the appetizer, we ordered the yum nur. Beef slices were too thick, should have been a thinner slice. It was also over cooked and tough. The sauce lacked flavor and spice - there was too much fish sauce. The yellow curry flavor was good overall. However, there was a little too much curry spice and the carrots were undercooked and hard. The tiger cry was deceiving by name. It was basically a sizzling beef with a sweet and sour sauce. The beef on its own did not have any flavor.
(2)Paul W.
The food here has always been great each of the 4 or 4 times we've been here so far. Lunch offers free sushi bar with entree purchase, who's is excellent.
(5)Amanda M.
The boyfriend and I were sharing a fun weekend of golf out at Horseshoe bay and were drawn to Ginger & Spice because of their yelp reviews. The place is down a pretty dark road, on the corner of a pretty dark street. But hey, we found it and the inside was quite cozy and nice. We were having some trouble deciding what we wanted, so our waiter helped us out. I forget his name, but he was hard working, helpful, oh so sweet, and just plain awesome. The place was busy and he was always there for us when we needed him. He recommended the Tom Yum Chicken Soup and the Tempura Shrimp Roll. And we also ordered the Pad Prik King with Shrimp and Cashew Chicken Dish. Tom Yum Chicken Soup- snazzzzy flavor! It was oh so good! I love it when the broth is really bold and not just something to fill you up, the chicken was good too. Tempura Shrimp Roll- yes, I know tempura shrimp rolls aren't much out of the ordinary, but this was fresh, satisfying, and delicious. Kudos on the recommendations waiter! Pad Prik King with Shrimp- This dish was lovingly mixed with a red curry sauce. The sauce was mild and very nice, and the shrimp were fantastic. I wasn't a fan of the green beans. Personally, I like mine cooked a while so they're soft, these were pretty hard, but that's just me. Cashew Chicken Dish- The meat was fantastic. I'm definitely a fan of the crispy sweet amazingness. All in all, the visit was great. The service was the best, along with the recommended soup and sushi. The entrees were fine. I'd come back again. :D
(4)Teal B.
This place had a cute little patio and a nice bar inside where you can watch the chefs work up their magic! We ordered the seaweed, dumplings, curry, sushi rolls and they were all yummy! The seaweed and curry were my favorite! The waitress was attentive and friendly and I can't wait to visit them again when I'm back in Texas seeing my big brother! It's going to be our little family tradition.
(4)Jamie A.
Best food I've found in Marble Falls. Pad Thai was very good. Sushi was fresh and prices are very reasonable. Service with a smile.
(5)Livi L.
Their food is amazing! I don't know how they make it all so good! I'm really not a sushi person, but I couldn't help fighting for the last ones my friend ordered. The tempura was also delicious, but maybe I'm just a sucker for tempura. They forgot one of our orders, but since the other food was so awesome, I didn't mind it coming a little later. I really loved eating here, and I want to try everything on the menu!
(5)Eric B.
My husband and I had dinner and the food was delicious. We shared the Philadelphia Roll sushi and the charred pork dinner. It was all very tasty and would go there again.
(4)Dinestein M.
Dinner here was fantastic! Ordered green curry and soft shell crab. Very fresh and lovely presentation.
(5)P R.
Our favorite restaurant in Marble Falls! Sushi and food are always great. Eat here all the time. I am a bit stuck on the yellow curry dish. Really don't want it more crowded but I would really be suicidal if this place ever closed so I am OK with advertising for them! :)
(5)Charles P.
The best sushi I have ever had! Even better than the places I visited in San Fransisco! The food was spicy in a very good way! I drive from San Marcos to done there! A+++++ service!
(5)Lucia C.
Great chicken with red curry and sushi is surprisingly decent. We have eaten here several times with our family and it is always consistently great.
(4)Phillip D.
Takes AMEX for all us biz travelers who use the card. In a cool old limestone building typical of the Texas Hill Country. Sushi, Thai & a few Chinese dishes on the menu. I opted for Red Curry and a Kirin Ichiban. I rarely eat unknown Asian, but the high marks on Yelp made me eschew Chili's next to the hotel or Bluebonnet (cash only-yikes! And don't think they serve cerveza). Place wasn't crowded at dinner. A group of 6 guys, a young family of 4, a table with 2 couples and me. Service was a little slow but friendly. You aren't supposed to rush dinner, but heck-I was hungry! The red curry had a great hearty consistency and a nice spicy finish. Pineapples, green & red peppers & good white chicken made it just right. And the vegetables were crispy and fresh-not mushy like it had been stewing awhile. I sometimes feel like Thai curry dishes leave you less than full. No Problem! It was a big portion that tamed my growl. The Yelp map on my IPad App was accurate and it was close to the Hampton & the lake. Glad I Yelped!
(4)Rachel W.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Marble falls the food is wonderful and I've tried many different things I love going during lunch so i can get the appetizer bar. The waitstaff is always on top of everything and the prices are good for how wonderful the food was. I always recommend Ginger & Spice to people.
(5)A B.
Pretty good place. Good service, reasonable (for Marble Falls albeit kinda high) prices, and good food.
(4)Jodi S.
The food was actually pretty decent. I can't knock the sushi, as it was pretty good. But the customer service was not what it should have been. We were asked to move twice to allow for others to be seated (which isn't what bothered me) but then they managed to forget our Appetizer and then brought all our food (appetizer & entree) out at the same time on this teeny tiny table. I understand they were busy but if I had asked someone to move from their table twice, I would have done whatever necessary to make it right.
(2)JB B.
This place is fantastic. I can't say enough about how kind the waitstaff is. I've been an avid customer for 3 years and every single waiter/waitress they've hired are so nice and willing to help. The food is incredible. Every time I go I have this inner struggle of what to get because I always want ALL of it. Do eat here, you will enjoy it!
(5)James F.
Marble Falls has a Thai restaurant? I had to repeat that thought in my head before actually grasping the concept. In an area of the Hill Country that is known for fried this and that and average Tex-Mex; it definitely stands by itself. There was some initial confusion about what it really was. My friend Kim kept telling me about the cream cheese rolls. Philadelphia roll? Pastry? Kolache? Turns out it was an egg roll wrapper with a mixture of cream cheese, spices, and mushrooms. That was the first bites I had off the appetizer bar and they were delicious. The app bar is included when you order one of the lunch options and on this day had two soup options, California rolls, crab rolls, and salad fixins. The Tom Kha was on par with what you could order in Austin. The rolls were good quality as was the dipping sauce that came with the cream cheese egg rolls. Is this really happening? I'm eating Thai dishes in Marble Falls! I ordered Phad Thai with some extra spice and it was really tasty. I selected the medium hot spice level though next time I probably could handle the hottest. The dish was artfully presented with the peanuts and the sprouts on the side with perfectly cooked noodles. Kim ended up sharing her fried rice with Little Rooster. I don't think she was prepared for him to eat that much rice; next time I'll order him a kid size edition so he won't be eying her plate. Service was above average with various staff members keeping our drinks in order. Our waiter seemed to have a basic knowledge of the cuisine and its finer points. The sushi that I saw come out of the kitchen destined for other tables looked fresh and appealing. I think Ginger and Spice has pulled off the first real restaurant in Marble Falls that I would actually get in the car and drive an hour. In a town of mostly mediocre; this place nearly knocked it out of the park.
(4)Steve M.
Pleasantly surprised with Ginger and Spice. The menu is extensive, the food delicious and the atmosphere nice. Six of us dined family style on 3 appetizers and 6 entrees and everything was good. Ginger and Spice pushed closer to 4.5 stars and missed 5 due to a few minor details. The edamame was over-steamed, making it a little mushier than I would have liked. The portions, while adequate were smaller than expected and small commensurate to the cost. Service was good but not great. All that said, I would go back in a heartbeat the next time I crave Thai food.
(4)Stephanie T.
First let me just say that the review by David P. from Austin, TX is probably dead on. Ginger & Spice is probably in the top 3 decent places to eat in Marble Falls....not sure what #1 or #2 were? My husband and I were in Horseshoe Bay for the weekend celebrating one of our close friend's birthday. If you've ever been out this way you know that there are very limited eats. Our friends arrived a day before we did and had tried 2 restaurants based on the reviews on Yelp and both were a FAIL! Needless to say they were a little reluctant to try Ginger & Spice despite the good reviews. But it was his birthday and we wanted to go out for the evening so we took a gamble! I would have to say although not the BEST THAI I've ever had (they claim to serve Authentic Thai) it was good for Marble Falls/TX Hill Country. I know I've said this before on Yelp, but my husband is Thai so we know what "Authentic" Thai should taste like. DISCLAIMER: This wasn't bad by any means, but it was very Americanized. We ordered Edamame (they also served Sushi - very weird I know....never been to a Thai restaurant that serves Sushi too), Dumplings, Chicken Pad Thai, Shrimp Panang Curry, Chicken Basil, & Chicken Basil Fried Rice. Overall everything was fairly decent. I do have to say that I was surprisingly impressed with the Shrimp Panang Curry. It was spicy but had very good flavor. If I lived in Marble Falls, this would be my go to place for a night out.
(3)Lisa M.
My husband and I met friends here, so party of six. We ate family-style and got to experience two apps and five main courses...everything was delicious. The service was great, and the food was some of the best Thai food we've had in a while (ever since our favorite Thai plane in Austin closed). Compared to most other Asian restaurants, the portions were a little small, especially on the vegetable platter. We would definitely go back. It's four stars because for me, five stars is for a stellar, amazing experience.
(4)Beth K.
Had a great dinner! Service was very fast...almost too fast because we were still eating appetizer and they brought out entree. My sweetie enjoyed the dumplings with rice wrapping and pork. He ate charcoal pork...he really liked my rice. We will be back on our next trip
(4)Steven R.
This place reminded me so much of Thai Spice in Austin. I asked, and sure enough, they are relatives! What a great business model. They have an appetizer bar that includes everything you want. Some sushi rolls, cheese rolls, soups, salad, and my favorite, cucumbers and Tiger Cry sauce! They even offer a small desert. All of this is included in the modest price of the lunch special. I had the green curry, and it was very good. I will definitely be back to sample more. I looked at my fellow diners' meals, and they all looked worth trying.
(4)Don C.
Good food and service. We had the Tom Yum soup with shrimp and shrimp spring rolls. All good and we would have not gone if not for Yelp users. Thanks!
(5)E R.
Hoped for something decent in the area while staying at HSB Resort... Should have gone to Chili's (that's almost as bad a joke as it sounds... if it were a joke). Saturday night at 630, 80% full, 1 waiter, 1 busboy/food runner... service was as you might expect; dinner for 2 took near on 2 hours.... That included forgetting our drinks after asking twice and the apps that we were told were coming. Food itself was bland, flavors were reflective of someone rushing and vastly understaffed. My partner pointed out there were more dishwashers than cooks and waitstaff.
(1)Valerie M.
The food is as good here as any I've had in crazy expensive 5-star restaurants. My first visit was for lunch. They had egg drop soup on the appetizer bar. I'm not normally a fan of egg drop soup but I gave it a try. it was unbelievably flavorful and is now the benchmark by which I will gauge all other eggdrop soup. I've tried a lot of different things from the menu and my go to favorite is the Pad See Ew. Ahh, it's so good. I'm slobbering just typing about it.
(5)Hilary H.
The seafood basil was just delightful, cooked to perfection. D had the tamarind duck and made lots of satisfied yum noises. The staff were friendly. Great place!
(5)M. T.
I'm not a huge fan of Thai, its often too sweet for me. That said, I have been to Ginger and Spice twice in the past month or so, both visits were for lunch. I really like the atmosphere and the cozy feel it has. I love the appetizer bar. Often I cannot identify what is in the soup buckets but so far I have not been disappointed. Last weeks offering was a soup with chicken & mushrooms in a light white creamy sauce. This soup was a total surprise it was so good. The broth was savory with a lingering taste of citrus. I have no idea what it was but it was good! We ordered the basil rice, very good but next time I will ask them to turn up the heat, while good, it was a bit low on the heat meter. The pad thai was too sweet for me but my dining companion really enjoyed it. We also ordered one of the sushi rolls that again, my dining companion rated excellent. I prefer the very tame sushi that is presented on the appetizer bar. On our prior visit we ordered a lemon grass beef noodle bowl and the peanut chicken. My hubs loved the chicken and the noodle bowl was good, not great but good. Noodle bowls to me are a vietnamese dish and the meat was off in the flavor dept. also the lack of the fresh veggies in the bowls that we are used to was noted. The portion of the noodle bowl was also pretty small. Its a bit spendy for a dish but when you add in the appetizer bar, I think its a great deal. The one thing I don't like is all the rules regarding the appetizer bar that are listed on the menu, its weird to me and makes me feel uncomfortable like the staff is eyeing everything we get at the bar to make sure we are not taking too much or that we are obeying all the listed rules.

I've ate here a number of times and have never been disappointed. However, last week I ordered the shrimp pad thai and the shrimp were bad. And by bad, I mean the shrimp smelled and tasted fishy. It made the whole pad thai dish taste fishy.

Found this place via Yelp while driving through and looking for vittles. We were skeptical, but had to give it a try. It was actually very good. The honey had the green curry, which was marked 3-pepper spicy on the menu... which is why I did not order it. I instead ordered peanut chicken. I like a little spicy but not super spicy. When the food came, my honey said his wasn't too spicy but was very good, and I should try it. So I had a spoonful and it was delicious and really only one-pepper spicy, if that. So I decided they must mean "super spicy for pansy ass white people who never saw a pepper in their life" as opposed to spicy by normal Thai food standards. Honestly, his food wasn't much spicier than my zero-pepper peanut chicken (which was also quite delicious) so I don't know how they can tell the difference between a 1 pepper, 2 pepper and 3 pepper dish. We were there for lunch, and the menu said that if you ordered a meal $9 or more, you could use the appetizer bar. On the thai side of the menu there were only two items $9 or more -- and both were 2+ pepper spicy (which of course at the beginning of our visit, we didn't realize was a superb exaggeration). So, honey who ordered the $9.50 green curry was able to go to the bar and I was not. He brought back some soup and some fried broccoli and some deep fried cream cheese spring/egg rolls. Personally - I think that there should have been an option for me to upgrade my $8.00 meal to $9.00 to visit the bar, which also had california rolls and fresh fruits and veggies on it. My meal, though delicious, was not large and was overpriced for lunch at $8.00. For $9.00 with the buffet though would have been a real bargain. There were lots of diverse folks in the restaurant, which was nice to see as well. Service was just fine. I probably would have given them 5 stars if there was a way I could have "bought into" the appetizer bar. Overall though, the food was as good as Thai here in "the city"... though much less spicy.

When in Marble Falls, this is a MUST stop. Food was authentic anf excellent.

The best sushi I have had in a long time! It's a small restaurant and sometime the wait is a big long, but it's really worth it. Everything is fresh and seasoned perfectly. The staff is always friendly and we have never had bad food. When they are really busy prepare to wait. It would be nice if they could expand for more room and hire more food servers, but it's still a great place for amazing sushi.

We ran into this place totally by accident. (Our GPS was trying to take us to another restaurant that apparently doesn't even exist! My boyfriend calls it a GPS adventure.) Anyway, they offer both Thai and sushi, so it was the perfect mix for both of us. We started out with the veggie tempura, one of my favs. It was a really good, light flaky batter that I'm used to and came with a slightly sweet dipping sauce. I ended up having my usual sushi staple, the California Roll. My boyfriend had the Yellow Curry with chicken. Both dishes were very good and filling. The servers were very polite and efficient. They kept our drinks filled and our food came out quickly. The place is small but has a really nice atmosphere. And apparently its one of the few places open past 5pm on Sunday. Bonus! The restaurant is located on a side street off of the main drag in Marble Falls. Its a good place to grab a quick bite. Probably the only downside is that they do not offer fountain soft drinks. So my bf had soda out of a can. But otherwise, everthing else was very good.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday with the family. The restaurant is small and cramped and the service was so-so, but the food was awesome. Our lunch entrees came with a visit to the appetizer buffet, which had salad, sushi, egg rolls, tempura, soups, fruit, and a couple dessert dishes, too. Good stuff! I ordered the chicken w/ peanut sauce and it was REALLY good. I love peanut dishes and this was one of the best. My husband had the Tiger Cry, which was supposed to be super spicy. He said it was good, but not as spicy as he'd hoped. My brother and sister-in-law shared the pad thai. I tried some of it, and I've had better pad thai elsewhere. They loved it, but they're from Montana, so what do they know about good Thai food. The kids shared the chicken fried rice and I didn't hear any complaints from their end of the table. For the area, I imagine this is one of your best bets for authentic, delicious Thai food.

Awesome. Fresh. Tasty. Close to authentic. Small. Only thing negative is once in awhile the service is not on point and sometimes they don't understand you. I get all tingly when we cone here, a must!!!

Love this little place....they have the best spring rolls and the service is excellent.

I'm terrible about remembering to write reviews on here but this place definitely deserves a high score. While visiting family over summer break (2 weeks) I went here like 4 times and I loved it every time! The small appetizer buffet was always clean and had fresh california rolls which I love and the entrees were delicious and decently-sized for the price. Definitely can't wait until Winter break to return!

Really enjoyed our meal here. Got several of the Thai dishes and we were pleased with all of them. Fresh ingredients and friendly service, too!

Surprisingly excellent! Driving through Marble Falls and the Bluebonnet Cafe was already closed for the day. Decided to take a chance. Better Thai food than Austin restaurants! Worth the drive.

I would have given a 5 star IF the womens bathroom was not gross. The soap dispenser was broken and empty of soap. The toilet roll holder broke open when used. The walls and doors are in badly need of a deep clean, sand and repaint. It felt like a dirty nightclub restroom. Yuk. Do not feel compelled to order the cheese roll appetizer as some have mentioned its nothing to write home about....all it was was cream cheese and onion deep fried in a won ton wrapper. They did not offer traditional crab rangoon, if they simply added some crab to the deep fried cheese things then they might have something. Boring. The basil fried rice was good. The red curry shrimp and duck was amazing. They have their curry down pat, hats's off. Staff was nice and friendly. Will come again but hope they get the womens bathroom in better shape, I do not even want to know the condition of the mens bathroom.

We keep our boat down at LBJ and eat here when we come down. Great service with tasty food. Good wine selection and cold beer.

Great place. Only been for lunch, but been a few times and will go again. Sushi is better than average, excellent for a small town. Beer selection is good too.

I've had bad sashimi here twice. I'm really shy about returning food because I hate being the complainer, but my friends forced me because even they could see it was bad and the smell ugh! The waitress was rude when I requested to order something else even though it was pretty obvious that I wasn't eating it since I had to spit it out in my napkin - again ugh! Overall I agree with Terry W. - you know what your talking about! Good service or not - this place over prices their food and under delivers on quality!

This is one of the only restaurants in Marble Falls that I can actually eat at. (can't have MSG or gluten) The service has always been excellent, never have had to wait for drink refills or ordering. Any time I order out my food has always been ready when they say it will, if not sooner. The food is excellent, and I will pay any price for that. You don't have too many restaurants in this town worth eating at anyhow. Their pineapple fried rice is the best!
(5)Cerise S.
Wonderful Thai food. They have a great lunch buffet-you get to go to the appetizer buffet and order a meal. The coconut ice cream is homemade and amazing. Food is fresh and made-to-order.

Considering this is one of about 3 decent restaurants in a 10 mile radius, it gets a solid 3.5 stars. Nothing is overly creative or daring here and there's an extra 'tax' for being, well, here. Facts: Very cool building - hope this restaurant makes it longer than the last Portions are decent and the ingredients seem pretty fresh Service is solid Parking isn't bad

Awesome food, people are great. My wife and I eat here once a week. The soup and salad bar are off the hook. You must try the ginger salad dressing.....divine.

Wanted to give a higher rating, but although this may stand out in the Hill Country, it's below average for Austin. They do have an appetizer bar that was very nice. However Rabias noodle lunch was memorable for all the wrong reasons while my curry dish was super boring. Good news is I realized my kids like Thai food and they had a good time.

There food is good there I like the Red Curry spicy and hot almost like the places in La area where i grew up. there prices are ok. ill tell people about this place, I like how the waiters roam around table to table, Believe it I think the owners get the tips, which i was told before by someone in La, Ill say go there and eat make up your own mind but there stay is horrible don't even buy its almost like rat meat on a stick. No flavor dry and i believe the boil the chicken and its not grilled n peanut sauce but all along i been to many places in Austin where friends screamed about how good it is. I thought it was awful go to this place ist worth a drive

This is the best little thai place. Everyone there is so nice, and their sushi is VERY good especially for being in a small town like Marble Falls. Excellent, in m opinion :)

Yes the restaurant is small and the service is good, but the food is great!! When it comes to sushi I am not okay with decent or okay. Sushi is not cheap, so why pay good money for bad sushi, right? Not here!! Yum, Yum, Yum!!! They don't have the longest menu in the world, but when I went yesterday I asked if they could make me some things that were not on the menu. I asked if they could make a handroll, which they don't do, but they did it for me anyway. I also asked if they could make me a hamachi roll (yellow tail) and they did that as well. The hamachi was delicious and the handroll was super. During lunch they have this little buffet and I don't order the buffet, but when I order some rolls they told me I could have the buffet as well. I thought that was really cool. I had the seaweed salad and some nigiri pieces and left with a smile on my face! I would recommend Ginger and Spice to anyone. They have an eclectic menu and for those of you who haven't gotten your sushi legs yet, there is a lot of other types of food to order. Go check it out!!!

Read all the reviews so had to go check it out. The place didn't disappoint. Lunch appetizer bar didn't have the cheese rolls I read so much about but we ordered them for an app. Sushi was fresh, cheese rolls lived up to the hype and wife's pad Thai was excellent. We'll be back.

My husband and I went back in June while on vacation. It was wonderful. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. Well worth it. The chicken glass noodle soup is savory, light, and lovely. I still crave the dessert I had with mango and noodles. It was even great left-over the next morning in the hotel room! These are hard working people serving great food. Can't wait to get back!

Really good and like others say a nice surprise in Marble Falls. Had the Pad Prik King (one of my favourites) and also the Pineapple Fried RIce and both were good. They were accommodating when I wanted extra veggies instead of meat which was very nice. I also think the spicy levels are toned down because of where they are but they are willing to increase the spiceness if you ask. Will come back again. P.s used the women's bathroom and thought it was clean and also beautiful with the paint and design.

Basil fried rice is the bomb diggity! And the people there so sweet. Love it!

Outstanding. Completely unexpected culinary experience. Ask for the waiter Pedro. He was great.

Good food. Will go back. Right amount of spice to make the dishes enjoyable.
